Playing Games for Fun With Plastic Playing Cards(1)

Choosing a deck of cards to play with is typically an easy decision, but can be confusing for those who are not sure whether they would like plastic coated paper cards or authentic plastic playing cards. Each type of card set has its benefits while plastic decks are guaranteed to last for a longer period of time than paper ones do. Decks of cards can be used at home to play a game with the family or friends. Many even choose to use these for family game nights and get-togethers with loved ones. Whatever the reason, it is important to select a deck that will hold up under extreme playing conditions.

Plastic Decks Versus Paper Decks
Plastic playing cards may be more expensive than the regular paper versions, but have their advantages that make purchasing them well worth it. Paper coated ones are typically available on the cheap side, but can also be very flimsy and bend or tear after just a few uses. While these are adequate for those who do not play very often and are careful with their deck, others prefer high-quality sets that they do not have to worry about being gentle with to present creases and signs of wear and tear. In most cases, the heavy duty sets last up to 100 times longer than paper versions. Another disadvantage of paper sets is that they cannot be cleaned as easily as plastic. If the plastic marked cards have a layer of residue or dirt buildup, they can be cleaned off with a damp towel.
